This is a bridge with a Romanesque base (11th century) and a semicircular gothic arch (14-15th century) which has been rebuilt several times. Crossing the bridge leads to the monastery, the old salt beds that existed next to it, to the nursery and the Enseu gorge.
From the bridge at Gerri we can observe all the diversity of the Noguera Pallaresa in a very short stretch: cobbles, dams, salt beds, riverside vegetation, beaches, islands and hints of windings...
The cobbles that lead from Gerri to the left bank of the Noguera Pallaresa.
The channel that distributes the salt water to the salt beds further down crosses the right base of the bridge halfway up.
In this photo from the early 20th century, the channel can be seen emerging from the southern side of the bridge.
