Capdella

Capdella, near the Flamicell headwaters, has the oldest hydroelectric power station in the Pallars (1914), which uses lakewater from the Estany Gento and from 15 lakes connected to it via tunnels excavated in the rock. The interactive audiovisual takes a look at the camp that served to accommodate 4,000 workers during its construction, at the station itself, in the villages and in other natural areas of indisputable beauty such as the Vall Fosca, also known as the Capdella valley.

The interesting set of homes and community buildings along with the impressive feat of engineering carried out to take advantage of the lakewater from the Estany Gento, plus the unique characteristics of the Vall Fosca, make attractive stopping places for the interactive virtual visit.
