Natural environment and Ecology
Human culture and the evidence of material and intangible heritage associated with it are not independent of the territory, and of the natural, geological and biological heritage that it contains. A determined geological history, which was certainly fortuitous, and not necessarily a local human history, have contributed towards modelling a local culture and landscape. With this part of the interactive programme we try to point out aspects of the natural environment of the countryside necessary for putting human activity there into context and for understanding the interactions between humans and the rest of nature, suggesting that no component can be understood without taking into account the other.
